Lorain County Public Health is looking for college students interested in working to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses within Lorain County and/or conduct water quality activities in the watersheds related to household sewage treatment systems, private water systems, and bathing beaches. A student of Biology or Environmental Health/Science is preferred. Requirements: Must be enrolled as a college student. Preference may be given to candidates that require an internship for graduation and/or will be seeking college credit. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and possess current state minimum automobile liability coverage.
Under direction of the Director of Community Health, Nursing Supervisor, other managing nurse or managerial authority, the LPN or RN will be responsible for providing substitute nursing services in a school setting, functioning within the nursing scope of practice.
Lorain County Public Health is seeking to hire a full time Sanitarian-in-Training/Registered Sanitarian in the Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness & Epidemiology Division. Requirements: Possession of a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health or related field. Must possess an Ohio certificate of registration as a Sanitarian-in Training or a Registered Sanitarian. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
