Lorain County Public Health is looking for college students interested in working to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses within Lorain County and/or conduct water quality activities in the watersheds related to household sewage treatment systems, private water systems, and bathing beaches. A student of Biology or Environmental Health/Science is preferred.
Requirements: Must be enrolled as a college student. Preference may be given to candidates that require an internship for graduation and/or will be seeking college credit. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and possess current state minimum automobile liability coverage.
DESCRIPTION: Seasonal Intern, Health Promotion & Chronic Disease Prevention Department. Under the direct supervision of the Health Education Program Manager and Director, is responsible for field work in one or more health education programs; performs other related duties as assigned.
Under direction of the Director of Community Health, School Nurse Supervisor, or other managing nurse, the substitute nurse will be responsible for providing nursing services in a school setting, functioning within the scope of RN or LPN nursing practice on a as needed substitute basis
Requires travel, flexibility and short notice for assignments in a school setting within academic calendar/school day in Lorain County.
